PRIVACY POLICY

What we hold, and why.

LAST UPDATED SEPTEMBER 9, 2026

Bidovi is an independent Canadian company. This policy explains what personal information we collect, what we do with it, and the control you have over it. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.

What we collect

  • Account information. Business name, business and billing address, owner name, email and phone, and the name, email and phone of each salesperson you add.
  • What you put in a quote. Your client names, site addresses, contacts and your pricing. This is your data and we treat it as confidential.
  • Quote activity. When a quote link is opened, how long it is open, and which pages are viewed. This is the tracking the product exists to provide, and it is shown to the account that sent the quote.
  • Payment information. Handled by Stripe. We receive a record that a payment succeeded, the plan and the last four digits of the card. We never see or store the full card number.
  • Service records. Sign in times, IP address and basic technical logs, kept to run the service securely.

Why we use it

To create and run your account, build and send your quotes, show you tracking, take payment, provide support, and keep the service secure. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your client lists or pricing for anything other than running Bidovi for you.

A note on quote recipients

When you send a quote, the person who receives it is tracked as described above. You are the one with the client relationship, so you are responsible for handling that relationship lawfully, including any consent your own privacy obligations require. We act on your instructions in respect of that information.

Where it lives

Each business has its own isolated database. Data is stored with our hosting provider on servers in Canada. Access inside our company is limited to the people who need it to support you, and it is logged.

Who else touches it

We use a small number of service providers, each bound to protect what they handle: Stripe for payments, our email delivery provider for sending quotes and notifications, and our hosting provider. If you connect a CRM or a file store such as Dropbox or Google Drive, we send data there at your instruction, and their privacy terms then apply to it.

We will disclose information if the law requires it. If we are ever compelled to hand over your data, we will tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is open. After you close it we keep your data for thirty days so you can export it, then delete it, apart from records we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes.

Your choices

You can see, correct, export or delete your data at any time from your account, or by asking us. You can ask what we hold about you and we will answer within thirty days. You can opt out of product emails, though we will still send messages about billing and security.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted and logged, and databases are separated per business. No system is perfect. If a breach affects your information we will tell you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to understand how the site is used. We do not run advertising trackers.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and email the account owner when the change is significant.

Contact

Questions or a request about your information go through the contact page. A person answers, and we will reply within thirty days.
